Meet Naomi
Experienced GCSE and A-Level Economics and Business Studies Educator & Tutor
Over fifteen years, I have had the privilege of working alongside pupils and colleagues around the globe, teaching in international, independent, grammar, and state school settings. I have delivered rigorous academic programmes and developed complimentary, bespoke educational materials to accommodate diverse learning needs and goals.
I have had extensive training and teaching experience in GCSE and A Level Economics and Business Studies, with particular focus on the OCR and AQA specifications for the former and Edexcel with the latter.
Currently, I hold post as Teacher of Economics at a lovely Grammar School in Kent and was previously Head of Economics and Business at a top-tier independent school in Canterbury, Kent for three and a half years. Before this, I had the honour of being Teacher in Charge of Economics at another exceptional UK independent school where I was responsible for DP and A-Level Economics curriculum development, long-term educational planning, departmental staff support, and student progress. Further to this, I have also conducted individualised, one-to-one tutoring sessions for A Level economists and IBDP students in Economics and Global Politics with Ivy Education in London, UK. My international teaching posts have landed me in several incredible international schools around the world both in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
I was awarded of a Master of Arts degree through the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Leicester in 2017, having submitted a successful final dissertation with focus on Development Economics, Human Rights, the role of IGOs and the Fairtrade Program. My alma mater previous to this was the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada.
